Training Centre

Integration

Bethany Home encourages parents to place their children into main stream schools that provide special education as we feel that is the best place for their child’s learning. However there are times where parents want their children to be in Bethany Home or other times that their children may face difficulty integrating into a school environment (due to bullying or mistreatment). Bethany Home supports these parents by taking these children for 2-3 times a week to address certain special education and social behaviour learning needs. The rest of the week the children will attend a main stream school.

The Bethany Home training centre also aims to see people with disabilities are adequately integrated into society. This is supported through outdoor activities and excursions where the students are taken into public places, government offices, hospitals, police stations, supermarkets and fast food places to help the public become more aware of people with disabilities.
