Physio Class
A small number of very dependent students with high needs are enrolled in this class. Most of these students use wheelchairs. In class some of them sit on special posture chairs, which help them, sit up straight, breathe properly and relieve pain caused by bad posture. There is one teacher in this class and one assistant who is a former student.
The students are encouraged to stand and walk. The teachers also carry out physiotherapy exercises especially on their arms and legs. They are taught to read the alphabet and recognise numbers and objects in pictures. Using "Language Master" some of them learn the different sounds made by different objects. They also learn vocational skills, fine and gross motor skills, sensory skills, living skills and social skills.

A recently installed computer in this classroom has enabled students to extend their skills in fine motor control.
