Training Programs

Special Needs Unit

Usually a smaller number of students attend this class within the training centre. All students have severe disabilities and some use wheelchairs.

Teaching in SNU class

Most students have no speech and therefore teaching them self-help becomes the priority. Tidying the compound by raking leaves, wiping tables, sweeping the classroom, washing plates, brushing their teeth and dressing themselves are some of the activities taught and practiced regularly.

The students are taught functional behaviour and movement skills as well as basic sign language, sensory and motor skills which are adapted to meet individual student's needs. This class also enjoys playing percussion instruments in the music room and gross motor skills activities like walking or playing with a ball.
